Jane Kreusler-Walsh is board-certified as a specialist in appellate practice. Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in that area of law. She has also received an AV peer review rating with Martindale-Hubbell, the agency’s highest mark for competency and ethics. Her practice focuses on civil appeals and litigation support. Ms. Kreusler-Walsh specializes in handling complicated appeals and has over 460 reported decisions. In practice for almost three decades, Ms. Kreusler-Walsh has argued numerous times in the Florida Supreme Court and all Florida District Courts of Appeal.

Ms. Kreusler-Walsh is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals, Fourth and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Ms. Kreusler-Walsh is a former law clerk for the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Florida and received her law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

A History of Service

Ms. Kreusler-Walsh has a long record of service to the Bar and her profession. She has served by special appointment on the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Contract and Business Cases (2010-), the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Judicial Evaluations (2006-2008), and on the Florida Supreme Court’s Standard Jury Instructions (Civil) Committee (1998-2004). Ms. Kreusler-Walsh formerly chaired The Florida Bar Appellate Practice Certification Committee and the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. She served three terms as Vice-Chair of The Florida Bar Appellate Rules Committee, was Chair of Grievance Committee 15B, President of the Board of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, and chair of the Palm Beach County Appellate Practice Committee for 7 years.

Ms. Kreusler-Walsh is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, the American Law Institute, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Association of Women Lawyers, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and American Inns of Court. She currently serves on the board of the Guild of Catholic Lawyers.

Recognitions and Awards

Ms. Kreusler-Walsh is one of only 13 Florida fellows in the American Academy of Appellate Attorneys, a national, invitation-only organization founded to advance the highest standards and practices of appellate advocacy and to recognize outstanding appellate attorneys. She has also received numerous other honors and awards.

Barbara Compiani is a board-certified, Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated appellate lawyer with a focus on civil appeals and litigation support. She has presented multiple times in appellate courts throughout the State of Florida. Ms. Compiani is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.

She formerly worked as a Fourth District Court of Appeal law clerk and earned her law degree from St. John’s University in New York, NY.

She is a Board member of the American Cancer Society North Palm Beach Operating Unit, a member of the Guild of Catholic Lawyers and a volunteer with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

She is also a current member of the Palm Beach County Bar and its Appellate Practice Committee, the American Inns of Court and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.

Stephanie Serafin is admitted to practice in the state of Florida. She is a former law clerk for the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. She is a former Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the Miami Law Review (2007-2008) and a member of the Order of the Coif, an honorary society recognizing law school graduates who have achieved the highest level of scholarly achievement.
